Torchy's Tacos

I first tried Torchy's Tacos in Austin when I went there this past summer. Torchy's started in Austin and now they have 3 locations in the Houston area. I visited the one in Rice Village a couple of weeks ago, and man, I wasn't disappointed! Although their tacos are really good, it's really hard to find parking and a seat when its during peak eating hours. Being in Rice Village, the restaurant has to share parking with a number of other businesses so be prepared to circle the parking lot a few times!

I had the Republican, which is a grilled jalapeƱo sausage taco topped with cheese and pico de gallo, and the Wrangler, which is one of their breakfast tacos, with scrambled egg, cheese and beef brisket. Their tacos are priced anywhere from around $2.25 for a regular breakfast taco, to $4.75 for one of their fish tacos. The menu also includes some sides like rice, and beans.

To be honest, Torchy's Tacos are a little expensive but if you're tired of having just the same old beef or chicken fajita taco, then this is the place to go. Their sizes are also big enough to where one taco would really be sufficient enough, although they're so good that you'll definitely want more than one!
